Meet our students: Hannah seifert

In Fall 2024, we’re partnering with St. Philip and Corpus Christi parishes to bring you a series of stories about USI students and local Catholic young adults from our parishes. These stories are shared in the parishes’ monthly magazine, “Come and See.” The stories about USI students will also be included in our Alumni & Friends newsletter.

Tell us about a turning point in your faith.

The biggest turning point in my faith was when I attended Catholic Heart Work Camp in 2022. Once I attended, I became more involved with lots of other events such as TEC (Teens Encounter Christ) and Mission Evansville.

Tell us about a faith mentor who has helped you on your journey so far.

Two of the biggest mentors in my faith journey so far have been Dan and Terri Barnes. We met through Catholic Heart Work Camp and have bonded ever since.

Tell us about a time when you shared your faith with someone.

I became closer with an underclassman on CHWC and we started talking more once we got back. She asked me to be her confirmation sponsor, and I was there to guide her throughout her journey.
